Granite Film FAQ's

Q. Does EZfauxdecor® Granite film have an adhesive backing?
A. Yes, our Granite film has a strong non-permanent adhesive backing. This helps the film to stay in place over an extended period of time.  It also helps keep the corners from lifting.

Q. Do you Need any special tools?
A. No, most homes already have the tools needed: a tape measure, razor knife, scissors and a plastic squeegee,  A heat gun or hair drier is also very helpful.  Please see the Installation Tutorials!

Q. How do you remove the Granite film?
A. EZfauxdecor® Granite film can simply peel off. Just pull back a corner to start peeling off.   Warming the film with a heated air is helpful and will cause the film to pull off easier.  If any adhesive residue remains it can be sprayed with warm soapy, water, WD-40,  Windex or Adhesive Remover, let it set for a few seconds, and then wipe clean. A plastic squeegee may also be helpful but is not necessarily needed.

Q. Can the Granite films be used on formic and other counter surfaces?
A. Yes, any of the EZfauxdecor® Granite films can be used on formic or other surfaces. It is best to start with a clean, smooth surface.

Q. How do I care for my Instant Granite film?
A. Although the EZfauxdecor® Granite film is scratch resistant we recommend using Windex or Mild soapy water to clean.

Ordering and Shipping FAQ's   

 

Q. How do I place a window film order?
A. Our Granite film comes in standard 36" width and is sold by the foot. When you click the "add to cart" button, just change the number in the quantity box to however many roll you need of that particular size.

Q. Do you accept orders from outside the US?
A. No, we do not accept orders from countries other than the US. 

Q. Which payment methods do you accept?
A. We accept credit cards through PayPal.

Q. How long will it take to get my order?
A. Orders usually take approximately 5-7 days to arrive at your home. We will send you an email the day your order is shipped.  If it's longer than expected and you haven't yet received your order shipment confirmation, just email us at: tom@fauxamore.com

Q: Is it possible to get my order "Rushed"?

Yes!  After you have completed your order, email us at tom@fauxamore.com with your delivery desires.  We will do our best to get your order to you in your time frame.

 

Q. Which shipping methods do you use?
A. We ship via US Postal Service by 3 day ground or 2 day Priority mail.

Q. What is your return/refund policy?
A. We do accept returns, however we do not refund shipping & handling charges, only the retail price of the film.  The film must be returned to us at your expense and it cannot have been cut, installed or damaged in any way.  It must be returned to us in resale condition for a refund to be issued.  Please advise us of any returns by email using this address:  tom@fauxamore.com

 

Q. What if I accidentally provided an incorrect shipping address?
A.  We bear no responsibility for shipping your order to an incorrect address you provided.  Once the order is placed into the carrier's hands, our responsibility ends.  Other than for shipping damage, we bear no financial responsibility for the order in transit.

 

Q. What should I do if the film is damaged during shipment?
A.  We provide insurance for shipping damage, and once notified, we will ship you a replacement order. Please email us at the following address:  tom@fauxamore.com   Give us your PayPal email address and the date you ordered your film.  If you have it, you can forward the PayPal purchase receipt you received when the order went through, or the "Thank You" email we sent acknowledging your purchase.  We will ship your replacement film ASAP.
